Medicare Covers Cost of Annual Wellness Visit for Seniors

Thanks to the Affrodable Care Act, Medicare now covers the full cost of an annual wellness visit. So far in 2012 one million eligible seniors have received a free wellness visit. Wellness visit include a body mass index (BMI) measurement, personalized health advice, and referrals to a local program for counseling on healthy living (weight loss, physical activity, smoking cessation, fall prevention, and nutrition).
